The true story of Vincenzo D'Aquila who was born in Sicily and immigrated to the United States with his parents. He was recruited as an ex-patriot to join the Italian Army and returned to Italy to fight in World War I in 1917. He was my great uncle and wrote an anti-war autobiography titled "Bodyguard Unseen." This script is an adaptation of his book.
