This is a story about an Indian and American man living in Los Angeles who decides to get married. Pratap comes from an Indian orthodox joint family, while Daniel comes from a modern American family. When Pratap introduces his fiance to his family, his grandmother demands that the Indian tradition should be followed. She demands a dowry from Daniel's parents whom she considers the bride side. She gives the parents a long list of items which she wants them to purchase for them. Pratap and Daniel's get sour as challenges come into their way/
