Robert drives a cab in North Beach and lives at the St. Lawrnce hotel where Charles Price breaks his window at midnight. Robert falls in love with SF MIME TROUPE star Andrea. They go to a Trips Festival (with background sound by THE GRATEFUL DEAD.) They go to Golden Gate Park where Andrea stars in SF Mime Troupe production. Robert takes tourists to all the famous SF sites., including Sausalito, Alcatraz, Fisherman's Wharf and Stinson Beach. Robert edits NEXUS magazine and visits CITY LIGHTS bookstore. On Haight Street, 200 hippies are gassed. At a Winterland trips festival, Ken Kesey and Huey Newton appear while hundreds drink Kool aid-laced LSD and the Grateful Dead plays. Finally, Robert and Andrea are married in the Glass Church. at Palos Verdes and Robert vows to finish his novel.
