It's 1983 and Nathan Harrison is a happy, well-adjusted 31 year old man who has cerebral palsy and is mentally challenged. He has lived in an institution all his life and his wealthy and very successful family bring him home once a year to celebrate his birthday. His family, except for his brother Bobby, have always treated Nathan as a child in a man's body. This birthday, however, everything changes and the Harrison family will never be the same.
